Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you need the model number before arriving at a service call?

There are thousands of different models of each appliance. While I have plain ol' experience with a large number of them, there's no way to know everything. Before each service call, I am looking up every unit to find basic part information, any potential recalls, factory updates, and  disassembly information. I like to be done in one trip if possible, and this helps have parts on hand. If the unit is locked closed or the tag is missing, you're able to fill the model and serial fields with 000000 in the scheduler. This website is a great resource to help locate the tag.

I have an extended warranty or home warranty, can I call you?

I do not work with either of these types of companies. I am more than happy to repair your appliance, but you must pay me directly - then the warranty company would reimburse you. Give your warranty company a call to see if they'll honor this arrangement.
